I was randomly browsing through Pinterest (AKA- the reaper of my time), and I saw these hand painted TARDIS pointe shoes. I've only watched one episode of Doctor Who, but still...this is genius. This item has already been sold on Etsy, but the photo remains. I am impressed (and inspired)! I sure hope that whoever bought these is putting them to good use by producing a Doctor-inspired dance.
The Etsy user, also has hand painted Alice in Wonderland pointe shoes, which are still on the market! She is doing it right.
